More than just a sailboat. Yes, it is a complete sailboat having mast stays, a boom, rudder and keel. It can seat two people in this configuration. The Multisport name though, means that you can do many things with this boat. An equally popular use is as a windsurfer. Here the rudder and stays are removed, a universal mast foot is inserted, and another keel is positioned aft. The result is a very stable windsurfer, ideal for learning, and lots of fun. For Kayakers, an optional attachable seat back and set of oars is available. The Multisport has attachments for, and makes a great towing platform behind a power boat. Lastly, at the end of the day letting some air out, makes it a passable air mattress to get a good night’s sleep!

How it works. It is a complete package that includes an inflatable PVC bladder inside a polyester cover to form a hull that assembles and stows in less than 10 minutes without tools. It includes a 3.1 meter, 2 batten sail, mast and two section boom, sailboat kit (rig straps and tiller), foot pump, carry case (total carrying weight 50 lbs.) and instruction book. When fully inflated, the hull is rigid, and It is easy to actually walk around on the deck while underway, and is very easy to operate in any of the above configurations — even for young people. A 4.1 square meter sail model which accomodates 3 people is also available.

9300-cThe possibilities are many. The lightweight boat requires minimal wind to sail, and the two 12 inch keels can navigate shallow as well as deeper water. It disassembles quickly for easy storage in its carrying case which fits in the trunk of a car, or can be checked as airline luggage. The Multisport costs a fraction of the price of any other sailboat, windsurfer, or kayak yet offers a much wider range of use. Happily, it does not require government registration.
