CELESTIAL NAVIGATION VIDEO

This very well done color production from Magic Lamp's Safe Boating Series, provides a pleasant, relaxed introduction to celestial navigation. Two 60 minute lectures on a single cassette utilize an excellent variety of visual aids to produce an engaging delivery of the subject. Lecture One is entitled "The Basics," and covers all the essentials of theory that are required to understand the subject. Lecture Two," A Successful Noon Shot," puts theory into practice, and teaches the viewer how to actually find his position with a sextant. Although these lectures stand alone, they do not take the student into advanced techniques, and it is recommended that a good text be purchased to achieve this, and to otherwise compliment the course.
