No moving parts -Can you imagine a windmeter with no moving parts? With nothing to wear out or break, it is sensitive to breezes as low as 0.1 mph, yet withstands winds as high as 99 mph. It is compact and light weight. It also provides temperature and wind chill readings.

Here's how it works. It uses the doppler effect to measure the frequency change in ultrasonic signals as they are affected by the air moving through the barrel mounted on top of the unit. Of course, its all done with a computer chip.
