Its not often a new plotting tool appears that is worth buying and taking the time to master, but the Paralock promises to be just that. Its locking knob enables the two arms to be fixed in any separation, and is the basis for its ability to transfer a position to or from a chart quickly. Its many other features include:

• Compact size to fit modern small chart tables, and in pocket.
• Transfer GPS positions quickly and accurately to any chart.
• Two sets of finger holes enable finger tips to act as friction pads on chart.
• Opening width is same as for standard rules.
• Millimeter scale makes it easy to transfer distances.
• Graduations allow use as a protractor.

Construction is of high quality beveled acrylic. Thickness is .19 inches. Folded size is only 7.25 inches. SW 0.2.lb.
